Transparency

Legal, risk & data sources

Everything that governs how Catalyst operates, in one place. Catalyst is operated from the United Kingdom by Catalyst (sole trader, United Kingdom).

Capital at risk

Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invest. Past performance, including the accuracy shown on our published record, is not a reliable indicator of future results. Holdings priced in a currency other than your own carry additional currency risk.

Legal, risk & data sources

What Catalyst is

  • A research and information tool that gathers upcoming market events and public data.
  • A way to see how those events line up against a portfolio you choose to import.
  • A transparent, published record of how our scores have performed.

What it is not

  • Not a regulated financial adviser, broker, investment manager or fiduciary.
  • Not a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
  • Not able to arrange, execute, hold or settle any trade or client money.
  • Not a substitute for your own research or professional advice.

Our regulatory position

Catalyst publishes generic research and tooling. We do not give personal recommendations, we do not arrange or execute deals, and we never hold your money or your investments. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, because the service we provide does not require authorisation.

Nothing here is tailored to you. Two people reading the same score should reach different decisions, because their circumstances, tax positions and time horizons differ. If you need advice on what is suitable for you, speak to an FCA-authorised adviser.

How AI is used

Written analysis on Catalyst is machine-generated from the sources listed beside it. Language models can misread, omit or invent detail, so treat every conclusion as a prompt to check the source, not a finding of fact.

AI output is labelled wherever it appears, always carries its sources, and never runs against your data without you asking for it. Position calls are scenario signals — a way of framing what an upcoming event might mean — not instructions.

Insider and market-abuse note

Insider transactions are historical public disclosures filed after the fact. They are not a signal to copy and often reflect scheduled plans, tax withholding or compensation rather than a view on price.

Catalyst only ever shows information that is already public. Using non-public information, or using this app to manipulate a market, is illegal and a breach of our terms.

Where the data comes from

Each feed below is attributed wherever its data appears in the app, with a link back to the original source.

22 active feeds in the shared registry.

Third-party names and marks belong to their owners and are used for identification only. We link to originals rather than republishing them, and we honour each provider's rate limits and terms. If you own a source and want something changed, contact us and we'll act on it.

Beta stage

  • Catalyst is in invited beta. Features can change or be withdrawn without notice.
  • Availability is not guaranteed and data feeds can fail or lag.
  • Beta account and feature data may be reset or corrected as methods change. This never applies to published live calls or settled record outcomes: those are never re-graded, reset or deleted, and any correction is added as a dated note beside the original rather than replacing it.
  • Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without restriction or payment.
